On my wife's Motorola CHARM phone (running stock Android 2.1 eclair with MotoBLUR) there are a couple of contacts that aren't showing up anywhere except on the Searching all contacts screen. I've tried several things I could think off, including a re-sync with Google, but that hasn't helped.

The contact in question is on her Gmail account. Once I bring it up from the search screen, and expand the Linked profiles section, it says "Google: <name of contact>". There are several other contacts with the same identical linking that do show up just fine. I can't understand what makes this particular contact different from others. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It isn't a similar name to another contact is it? Not sure about motoblur, but I do know that Google Contacts likes to merge similar names sometimes on the phone (very problematic if you only store first names in your phone). – Bryan Denny Jun 6 '11 at 15:16
I've checked, and it's definitely not merged with any other contacts. There are several other similarly named ones though. – Chahk Jun 6 '11 at 15:40
