Is there an app where you can add contacts or numbers to a list and anyone on that list will have their text messages auto deleted when they try to send you a text? Preferably one that can have this list be password protected.

Why don't you just block them through your carrier? It'll save you the hassle (and SMS charges if you don't have a text plan). – Matthew Read Sep 6 '11 at 21:08
@MatthewRead blocking through your carrier is far from something you can expect in every country. In Sweden I know for a fact that several major carriers do not offer the service. – pzkpfw Feb 2 '13 at 11:39

You could use Sanity, which seems to have the feature you want.

From app's description:

[Block] unwanted calls and SMS: automatically refuse incoming calls and SMS filtering out the phone number (include or exclude anonymous and/or unknown numbers, favourites, contacts and groups; enable the block by choosing date and time); advanced: choose between different block methods to confuse the caller!

I use Anti SMS Spam & Private Box app. It can block messages from both known and unknown number. Messages with specific word can also be filtered.

You could try Call Blocker Gold, it seems to have the features you are looking for.

You can just download an app from Play store - it can block text msgs and even phone calls. Try Truecaller , add the contact to the Blacklist which will lead to the block
