So I've gone through one normal day with my new Bell Samsung Galaxy S II at school. I unplugged at 7:11AM and it is currently 8:00PM and the battery is at 17% according to the Battery Indicator app notification, only having done a short charge on the 30 min train ride home. I feel like this is pretty good battery life, right?
But onto the main point. I also have an iPod Touch 3rd gen in a case that has to go in the same pocket since the other side is being used for my wallet. The problem is that they'll overlap obviously, the pocket is barely wide enough to hold both and gravity loves bringing us down. I'm worried about the frame of the SGS2 and the screen of the iPod.
Seeing as I have 14GB of storage for anything but apps on my phone I was thinking of using it as my dedicated music/podcast player. Will playing music/podcasts (mostly podcasts though) kill battery life? I would be syncing them from the laptop so I'm not streaming so it won't be using data the whole time.
Also, as a side note, how good are the various music apps (including stock) on battery life? I was leaning towards using WinAmp over DoubleTwist just because I'm tired of iTunes' look. Also, would it be better to get a separate app for podcasts?
