I am trying to find out if there are apps on the Android Market that looks and works like Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

I know some of them are Google docs (but you need live connection) and Documents to go and Quickoffice (that are paid apps)

@MatthewRead, would the question address the needs if it said something along the lines of "Ability to view and edit Office documents including .doc, .xls, .ppt, etc..."? – Chance Feb 17 '12 at 19:34
@Chance If none of the three supported that, yes, but that's not the case. Again, if they're all missing a particular feature that Daniel needs then that would be different. – Matthew Read♦ Feb 17 '12 at 19:43
@MatthewRead what I need are apps that are the most similar as possible so someone that uses Word, Excel and PowerPoint on a Windows computer can right from the start know how to use it. Thanks – Daniel Benedykt Feb 17 '12 at 21:46
How would that work though? Unless you have a large tablet and use a mouse with it, there's no way the interface could be that similar and still be functional. – Matthew Read♦ Feb 17 '12 at 21:50

As of now, I haven't seen or heard of anything free. You've already mentioned the closest alternatives in your question -- Google Docs or Documents to Go/QuickOffice.

Something we may see in 2012 (but possibly later) is LibreOffice on Android. They're looking at creating both cloud-based and local mobile implementations. If these come to fruition, they'll really kickstart the market for office suites on portables.
