I just got as a present a (not new) Samsung Ace GT-S5830 locked with SFR (France). I live in Israel and need hebrew keyboard. I am sorry if what I ask is redundant but this is my first Android machine and I am totally new to this. I started reading on the subject but I realise I need some basic explanations. Is it possible to change the OS? (Current is Android 2.2.1) Will it save me unlocking the phone? What are the different OS's available? If anybody can tell me where to start, what to read, what programs are necessary (Win XP) I would be very grateful.

As indicated by Logos's answer, this is really to broad for us to cover here (see the FAQ). Reading a few posts on XDA will quickly answer your questions. If you end up having something more specific to ask, do feel free to ask it here. – Matthew Read Feb 19 '12 at 17:39

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.
