I am looking for a PDF reader that DOES NOT have a save as or share feature. It would need to be compatible with Froyo 2.2

My reason for asking is I have created an application that reads self-encrypted pdf files and saves them to the sdcard, from here I wish for the suggested application to open the file, but be unable to save/share it.

It would render the encryption/decryption process pointless if the user can simply save the file and/or share it.

1. unencrypt, 2 write to file, 3. hey user, do you want to read this with -- 4. task killer, 5. copy the new unencrypted pdf somewhere safe. –  Julian Fondren Feb 21 '12 at 13:07
If the user and their environment isn't trusted, don't give them access to data you don't want shared. The could take a screenshot of their phone screen quite easily as well, just for example. –  Matthew Read Feb 21 '12 at 15:40

The LGPL license might be problematic for this use, but you might start with andpdf and strip the features you don't want.

Thanks for the quick reply, however from the link you provided I cannot see any source code to "strip features" from...? –  Matt Skeldon Feb 21 '12 at 13:22
@Matt: See this discussion for building from source. –  Martin Tapankov Feb 21 '12 at 13:42
Thanks for the suggestions both, unfortunalty having exported as an APK and run on my tablet PDFs with background images only show the background and no other text/pictures can be seen. –  Matt Skeldon Feb 21 '12 at 14:36
