Sometimes, when I open an email message in Gmail, the email that pops open is an old message with the same subject string. I must scroll down to find the message with the same date and time as the one that I'm trying to open. For example, the message I try to open shows Tue, Apr 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM, but when I click it to open, the message that pops up is an old one in the string and shows Tue, Apr 17, 2012 at 9:00 AM.

That's how Gmail conversation view works. Is there a question here? – Al Everett Apr 24 '12 at 22:15

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

You can turn off conversation view in the Gmail settings. I'm not sure if this setting applies to the app as well.
