N64 Emulator on Play Store

In this screenshot, you can see listed size of app is 6.33MB, but I am getting 3.17MB download. What is this?
I thought, variable size based on device was limited to in-app downloads. If Play Store allowed such thing, it could have listed the device-specific download size. But, it wasn't.

What's the real reason of this? Is this a bug? or, cache problem? or, something else?
Have Google told about it anywhere?

The website shows the 6.3 MB size as well. Maybe it's compressed for download but takes up more space on the device? Try checking the size of the .apk now that it's installed. –  Matthew Read May 7 '12 at 22:29

@Matthew All packages are compressed which is expanded on device (if compression was considerably visible), but I never encountered such thing on Play Store before. –  Sachin Shekhar May 8 '12 at 8:09

Size of APK file is 3.17MB if its useful to anyone. –  Sachin Shekhar May 8 '12 at 10:20
