I was wondering if anyone can tell me why my Samsung Galaxy Ace (gingerbread 2.3.6) restarts after I've connected it to my laptop using a USB cable.

Is it the android system, the phone, etc???

Either the hardware is faulty and there's a voltage drop or something on connection, or part of the software/firmware is buggy and crashes the system. A factory reset might help the latter case but it's hard to say. – Matthew Read♦ May 30 '12 at 18:32
@MatthewRead oops...the last thing I wanna do is reset it. :( This is something new though. It worked just fine before. – Elysium May 30 '12 at 20:37
