I have set on a IMAP account on my ICS android. I have some of the mails filtered to go to different folders. Is it possible to receive notifications the other folders? It is annoying, when I read some important messages one month late.

The is another similar question, but it is mainly for gingerbread, and also they end up discussing mostly the gmail app. Feel free to close as duplicate, if you choose this as not fitting.

Default email app will sync but will not show the notification for folder/sub-folders other than the primary inbox. you can go to each folder you want to sync and then click on setting to sync them individually but you wont get notification for new emails to those folders but they will sync. Use Cloud majic from app store and it does the job pretty well for syncing and notifying for new email, moreover, it will display the emails as conversation or threaded view as well to track all the emails exchanged for the same subject within the folder.

Hope it help you.
