I have recently flashed a custom ICS rom on my device, and then installed from zip via recovery mode the relevant gapps package for that rom (from here: http://oldwiki.cyanogenmod.org/index.php?title=Latest_Version). Let's say I now want to revert my google apps back to their old Gingerbread versions and install a 2.3 gapps package, how would I safely do that ?!

/system/app/, though I'm not sure if it would work with the new framework. Should be easy to revert if it doesn't though. I'd be very surprised if the entire Gingerbread framework worked on ICS, though, and if it didn't it might make a mess for you. – Matthew Read♦ Jun 22 '12 at 22:04
