Do you have latitude on? – roxan Aug 14 '12 at 6:16
Or the Maps live wallpaper? – SaintWacko Aug 14 '12 at 17:15
Additionally it would be helpful to know the Android Version running on your device. Moreover, a simple update of the Maps app (via the playstore) might solve the problem; there have been some buggy versions around in the past which caused similar problems, and those problems got fixed by updates. – Izzy Aug 19 '12 at 22:26
You can try to disable 'Google location service' in the location settings. – ce4 Sep 10 '12 at 9:50
