I have the new Smart II. Maps is using 93 percent of my battery and I can't turn it off. I keep pressing force close but it comes back on a few seconds later.

Additionally it would be helpful to know the Android Version running on your device. Moreover, a simple update of the Maps app (via the playstore) might solve the problem; there have been some buggy versions around in the past which caused similar problems, and those problems got fixed by updates. – Izzy Aug 19 '12 at 22:26
