I recently bought a Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070. Its not even a week since I've bought the phone. When this phone goes into an area with low or no network coverage it loses coverage and never regains it. The phone needs to be restarted to get coverage (and then gets full coverage).

The device is running Gingerbread 2.3.6.

Is there any solution to this, or has Samsung provided a fix already? And what are the chances of it being a hardware or a software problem?

faster than reboot quick&dirty fix': switch on airplane mode, then switch airplane off again. Usually this gets the radio in a working state again (no need to reboot). – ce4 Sep 10 '12 at 11:32
