I have a "handset" with Android 2.3.4, and the "flip" feature works for every app and screen, except the desktop. That is, if I flip my phone any screen or app will flip too, yet the desktop remains fixed. There was an exception when I was playing a game and I pressed the home button: there the desktop was flipped, but it seems it was "forced" to flip by the game. How can I make it flip like any other app or screen?

If it doesn't work out of the box, which is the case with many Android phones, then you have a few different options:

What is a ROM, and how do I get one and install it? –  Peter Tamaroff Sep 2 '12 at 16:18

Should the "ROM" for the Neo work in the Neo V? I'm totally new to this. –  Peter Tamaroff Sep 2 '12 at 16:57

Flow, I just rooted the phone with "UnlockRoot v2.4.2". My compilation # ends in .42 and the tutorial says after rooting it should be upgraded to .62 and then "busybox" should be installed - any help? I already have a "superuser" app: should the cyanogen mod work now? Thanks. –  Peter Tamaroff Sep 2 '12 at 17:25

That's a separate question, @Peter. You should create it as such. –  Al E. Sep 6 '12 at 19:48
