I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with a ROM Resurrection Remix 2.6.1.

When I activate hotspot tethering and connect from my laptop it connects -- but I cannot open any page or use Internet. Then I check my IP with ifconfig, and Yes: I have an IP!

So I don't understand why I can't open any page. How could I locate the cause, and eliminate the problem?

What is your phone provider? Some require a separate data plan for sharing internet/data access with other devices. – Enigma Sep 20 '12 at 17:42
