Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for enthusiasts and power users of the Android operating system. It's 100% free, no registration required.

In VLC player there is a "faster" and "slower" button that makes the video go faster or slower so that if you need to learn something (for example a guitar solo) you can slow it down a bit or if someone is talking too slow in a documentary you can speed it up a bit.

Does anyone know any Android app that does the same? I have a couple of documentaries that I need to speed up on my tablet and it's driving me nuts that I cant do it.

I have tried these apps so far:

  • VLC (neon)
  • MX player
  • Poweramp
  • and a couple others

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

iMPlayer+ handles this funtionality. It has a healthy number of downloads and should work.

Thanks! Just installed it and for some reason my audio was crackling/breaking every few seconds (Galaxy Tab 10.1), other than that it works as expected so am accepting your answer. In the end I settled for "Dice player" (for anyone else searching later on), it only goes up to 2x but the audio is decently clear. –  Ryan Oct 1 '12 at 20:16
