While jogging, I listen to music from my phone and I put a lock to prevent it from doing interesting things. However, I think it tried many wrong passwords and it is locked. Now, phone is overheating, buttons don't work and screen is completely black but I can still listen to music. Since I don't want a hard reset not to lose my apps and data, what else can I do?

This sounds more like crashed than locked. Remove the battery and put it back in. Reboot. It might be true that you can't login, but this is not indicated by a black screen. |
