I have some problems with my compass (using a modded ROM) and I think the problem is the calibration. I though about copying the configuration / calibration from another ROM. Anyone can please tell me, where the compass configuration / calibration data is stored? I am using Jelly Bean. Thanks for any hint on this!

Have you tried "figure 8" calibration fixes like the ones mentioned here: androidforums.com/sprint-hero-support-troubleshooting/… ? What have you done to troubleshoot the problem? Did you wipe everything before installing Jelly Bean? What phone are you using? Please supply more information. – bigbadonk420 Oct 3 '12 at 21:45
Yes, I tried those 8 stuff and the GPS Status app calibration. I wiped everything before installing CM 10. I am using a Galaxy Nexus. I think it was better when I used the stock ROM and I wanted to compare the configurations for the compass between stock and now/CM10. – stefan.at.wpf Oct 3 '12 at 21:49
Can always pull down the stock nexus image and extract it and compare with what's running on your cm10. Are you running custom kernel? More information to be supplied please. – t0mm13b Oct 3 '12 at 21:53
As mentioned, try wiping everything again and installing a stock ROM (or a close-to-stock ROM like the deodexed JB roms) and see what happens. – bigbadonk420 Oct 3 '12 at 21:55
I've closed this since I think you're asking the wrong question, one that doesn't make sense in this case. Another device's saved calibration won't help. – Matthew Read Oct 3 '12 at 22:03
