The AC 5V adaptor that came with my Micromax Funbook Pro tablet has become non-functional. Is there a possibility that I can resort to buying a universal USB power adaptor and then plug it into AC power plug to charge the tablet battery through its USB port? I think I had noticed (correctly) earlier that when I used to connect it to my laptop through USB cable, the battery would not charge.

I had a Micromax funbook which WAS charging perfectly through my PC's USB port. See a comment to this question's answer android.stackexchange.com/questions/26975/… – Narayanan Oct 16 '12 at 7:44
On my P275, it takes too long to charge through the USB port. – tcmani Mar 1 at 14:02
