In Android v2.3.4:

When configuring e-mail accounts with the default e-mail, the actions performed via IMAP in Android are not reflected in the mailbox.

When you delete messages or drag them between folders within the Android, these actions are not replicated in webmail.

I tested with RoundCube Webmail and saw in some forums that some hostings use RoundCube and also face the same problem of synchronization of e-mail with the android e-mail app.

A workaround would be to use a client like K9 or use another version.

Is it a bug in version 2.3.4, or is there any fix for this version or official documentation related to the problem?

If changing email clients (to K9, f/ex) works around the issue, then the issue is the built-in client, not the underlying OS. – JRobert Nov 10 '12 at 17:33
