I use Callblocker currently, but the unwanted calls come from different numbers each with the same first 5 digits. Is there a free Android app to block them based on this pattern?

We prefer questions that are looking for a solution to a problem, not just "is there an app that does X". You've already selected your solution (an app) when there may be other ways to achieve the solution you need. Please have a look at the FAQ. – Al Everett Dec 14 '12 at 18:29

Try aFirewall

Despite the name, it's an SMS/Call blocking app.

That worked. It didn't even turn up in Play store for a search, the search function is really terrible (esp when you consider Google is a search engine first). – Sumesh Dec 15 '12 at 0:44
Glad to be of help. I was once in the same situation as you, and after trying out A LOT of SMS/Call blockers, finally used aFirewall. I've 'graduated' to a better (but paid) app, however. But I still have fond memories of aFirewall :) – pepoluan Dec 15 '12 at 9:17

That app is paid, and I had seen it before asking the question here. I am looking for a free app. I did find another free app later, though play.google.com/store/apps/… – Sumesh Dec 14 '12 at 17:36
