My Sony PRS-T1 (Android 2.2) is not behaving as it should. In spite of numerous attempts to flash the restore set and sd rescue, I keep having problems with the dictionary change operation, with annotations, sometimes with the browser hanging while loading a page I have loaded many times before.

I had rooted my Reader for a time but at the moment it is back to the non-rooted state.

I suspect that either the partition table is corrupt or there is malware "somewhere deep".

How could I check the integrity of the Android partition table and, if necessary, repair them? I might root it if need be.

Welcome to Android Enthusiasts. :) Read the FAQ to see the kind of questions asked. One one question per posting is the key. :) – t0mm13b Dec 21 '12 at 15:12
ok. Remove the 2nd question even though it was strictly related. – To Do Dec 21 '12 at 15:14
Clarify android partition table? Is it internal or referring to sd card? Usually, wiping the data and clearing the cache restores the Android behaviour. – t0mm13b Dec 21 '12 at 15:18
I don't think that's really a separate question. We only admonish people for asking disparate questions in the same question post. I've restored that part of your question. – Al Everett Dec 21 '12 at 15:29
What makes you think it's the partition table? If you've got problems, rather describe those than the suspected fix (see XY problem). – Izzy Dec 21 '12 at 16:03
