Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for enthusiasts and power users of the Android operating system. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am on a Comcast server and have entered the Incoming and Outgoing server settings correctly on my phone. It indicated that the mailbox is configured, and showed 100 emails in the inbox.

However, after installing ice cream sandwich (ICS) on my Verizon LG, those messages are not displayed on the screen. The top of the screen shows 100 messages, but there is no way to access them. I have uninstalled the Pop3 and reinstalled it, but I keep getting an error message stating LG MLT has stopped working on boot up.

Verizon said ICS corrupted my mail port, and I have to restore the phone to factory settings to get around that. That is not a great thing to hear especially when their upgrade caused the problem. I get mail through my laptop and directly from the GoDaddy website. So, my mail is working overall.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Have you tried clearing the data for the email app(s)? – Matthew Read Jan 2 at 4:42
