I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with ICS 4.0.3 installed. The phone is rooted. Since a while I get a message about a 129MB update. I suppose this is the update to 4.0.4, but I'm not 100% sure. When I try to install it, the following happens:
- the update starts
- alert that a reboot is needed, and after 10 seconds it reboots itself
- the phone reboots
- I see a white open box, a green android icon, and at the bottom a progression bar
- before the progression bar is at 10% the screen goes black and it reboots
- the phone starts up, I enter the pin, then get an alert: Cannot update firmware. Try again with Kies or go to Samsung servicecenter. (Roughly translated)
Is this a known problem? How can I fix this? Should I undo the rooting?
recovery.logfoundin the recovery partition, mount that and pull down the file and paste it in here or use pastebin :) – t0mm13b Jan 7 at 16:41
