FTP? MMS? File transfers over one of many messenger apps? It's not clear what you've tried, why they didn't work, or what specifics you're looking for. Software recommendations are off-topic; we need questions to be about specific problems (see the FAQ). – Matthew Read Jan 12 at 4:37
@Matthew Read Kindly let me tell you what I do to solve this problem. I use astro file manager to rename any file extn to .mp4 and then share it via Whatsapp. The recipient has to rename it to the original extn .Sorry for asking off-topic question. – livinggourmand Jan 12 at 4:44

You can download Dropbox and share links with your contact, or, you can download Whatsapp and message files to your contact.

I use Whatsapp but sharing is restricted to audio, video and image. Dropbox is 2 step sharing .First we need to upload and then share links just like Google Drive.Isn't there any app like Whatsapp where we can share in 1 step with someone? – livinggourmand Jan 12 at 4:23
What kind of files do you need to share? – Siddhartha Jan 12 at 4:24
.apk , .txt , .xml ,.pdf etc – livinggourmand Jan 12 at 4:28
Several years ago, some guys invented a thing called EMail. I've heard Android supports that, and even ships a GMail app for this purpose. Might be worth a try ;) – Izzy Jan 14 at 10:45
