I have a Nexus 7 32GB.

I read an eMag (Model Railroad Hobbyist) and would like to be able to download it from the Mac (or directly from online).

I downloaded one issue but the next one, while it apparently downloaded, can't be read. I also downloaded a PDF created in Word for Mac. While it appears in the download directory through Settings, it won't show up when the Downloads app is run.

I've updated to 4.2.1, and have had no other problems with the unit. This may, of course, be an operator malfunction, since Android and tablet computers are a whole different animal from what I'm used to (Windows, Mac).

In any case, please help me. Thanks.

How are you downloading the PDF? (1) From a website? OR (2) Via Mac to tablet microUSB cable? – geffchang Feb 7 '13 at 6:10
That would be your second choice - from my Mac to the N7 via USB (Using the Android File Transfer app). – Gary Collins Feb 7 '13 at 18:17
Using the afore-mentioned app, the files show up on the N7, but from the N7, I can't see them. Music files, BTW, show up fine. – Gary Collins Feb 7 '13 at 18:45
