When my device is in daydream mode and I wake it, it prompts me to enter my login pattern. What settings do I need to change so that the login pattern isn't needed after daydream?

Setup details:

  • I have turned Daydream on: "Clock" with "night mode" so it's very dim.
  • I use the Llama profile changer to automatically turn on a night profile that sets the screen brightness to 1% and the screen timeout to 30 seconds (so the daydream starts after 30 seconds).
  • Llama also sets disable screen lock after an unlock and since the device is already unlocked, the screen lock should not appear - but it does.

According to Llama, The action of 'Disable screen lock immediately' is buggy. So might not work in every handsets. Since you have said, that you have given 'Disable screen lock after unlock' did you make sure that your event is already running when you unlocked the screen for the first time and checked whether is it asking for screen lock or not?

Yes, I can reproduce it repeatedly inside the same Llama event duration: I wake it from daydreaming -> unlock -> let it daydream again -> at next wake, it asks for unlock again. – Torben Gundtofte-Bruun Feb 7 at 10:57
Can you elaborate a little more about your Llama event? Because, when your device is in Daydream, the screen is awake. So, most probably it should not ask for unlock. Also try creating an event, 'If screen is on then disable lock code' – Murshid Feb 7 at 17:28
