I experience crashes on the camera app everytime I launch it (I'm on a Galaxy Nexus under Android 4.2.1), and also when launching the camera through other apps (camera 360, barcode scanner, etc.). Is anybody able to understand the stack trace i get from the Camera app? it's the picture at post #8 of this link:

The phone is not rooted and I already tried wiping the camera data, restoring the factory settings, removing the battery and uninstalling the other camera360-like apps, but nothing just works.

thanks a lot Luigi

Sounds like a bug in the kernel driver for the video capture. Best to see if you could load a custom kernel which obviously requires rooting... more information please - go into Settings > About phone, find out about the kernel version and build, then head over to XDA to see if its reported there. – t0mm13b Feb 7 '13 at 17:00
I went to XDA and they suggested to enable USB debugging, connect to the PC and open the camera app from there, but this doesn't work either. – Luigi Feb 11 '13 at 10:42
Upgrading to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 did not salve anything, so I brought it to assistance. Case closed – Luigi Feb 14 '13 at 12:09
