I have a Samsung Galaxy Y mobile phone and I am completely satisfied with all of it's features, except one - I am not able to play High Resolution .MP4 videos (particularly those downloaded from Coursera.com).

I have tried using MX Player and almost every video player out there. I have also tried to convert the files to various other formats using various free software out there, but nothing worked - so far.

At the max the video starts playing but the audio and video are not in proper sync.

These are the Related Specifications of my mobile:

Music Player Yes, Supports MP3, eAAC, WAV Video Player Yes, Supports MPEG-4, 3GPP, H.263, H.264, WMV Sound Enhancement DNSe Sound Resolution QVGA, 320 x 240 Pixels

Can someone suggest me anything?
