I bought my Samsung Galaxy Nexus I9250 from the middle east before relocating to India. The push email notification does not work in India. The phone also does not work in roaming when I move between states. Also, I noticed that the email Sync settings is locked and the emails doesn't sync realtime. Can someone help me in fixing this?

Is your device carrier locked? I have a Galaxy Nexus from Saudi Arabia, and have never seen any of the problems you mentioned in India. – Raghav Sood Mar 10 at 8:13
