I just got a Galaxy Note 2. This phone came with 3 games - I bought them, downloaded, and then found: oh I have used up 7GB of data already! So thought I would transfer the games to my external SDcard via My Files. But then find when I click on the game icon it needs to download again -- meaning it does not see the data.. I then had to move back to its original location.

How can I re-point the game icon to look for the games data on the SDcard?

How shall the app know where to look for its data? We cannot answer this question, you will have to ask the developer. Alternatively you might check if the apps can be moved to SDCard (check Settings->Apps->Manage Apps, look up the app in question, and check if it has an enabled button labeled "Move to SDCard"). You cannot simply use a file manager for that. – Izzy Mar 12 at 17:28
