On my phone (Motorola Android 2.3), I have an app that places invisible touch zones on each side of the screen and when these areas are tapped change the song back or forward (Plug In Music Widget). This feature works even when running other apps. I also have a Motorola Xoom Android tablet and I'm looking for a way to do this for volume when I slide my finger up or down, for instance, on the right edge of the screen. Does anyone know of a setting, app, or widget that would offer this functionality? (If not, if any developers see this, I think it could be a big hit.)
