I have a Galaxy Note-2. Android version 4.1.2.

After I sync into my Organisation's email on my phone it used to encrypt my SD card and External SD card. This never rendered my data inaccessible -- but after I got a software reset done on my phone from a Samsung service center, I again synced my Official mail on my Note, which again prompted to encrypt my external SD card which I did. After that none of my files, whether Media, non- Media are accessible at all. Neither when I connect it to the PC.

What can I do? I urgently need my files!

Could it be that you double encrypted the card? So you encrypted a card that was already encrypted? In that case you would have to decrypt it twice, in opposite order, and you have to know both passwords of course. –  rxt Mar 14 at 11:32
