My N7000 running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with build JZO54K.N7000XXLT5, base band N7000XXLT3, kernel 3.0.31-1103517 has serious problems connection to wifi lately.

I was running the latest german version before and without modifying anything, wifi became extremely unstable, leading to many connection timeouts or no connection at all. Installing the firmware LT5 did not change anything.

What can cause this? Should I replace the /etc/wifi folder with one of a working installation? Is this a known issue with the latest Jelly Bean releases for the Galaxy Note?
