A friend of mine received as a gift, a Samsung Galaxy Tab, but he met a problem with Android. Actually he can not use a software for his job, which runs in MS access and he can find a way, even to install it on Tab or to use the files he created. Does anybody know, if it's possible to remove android and install any windows version on it. If that is impossible, how can he use mdb files. Thanks in advance.

No, the Tab does not support Windows Mobile. This isn't really an Android question ... – Matthew Read Jan 22 '11 at 12:44
Thanks man for answering the first question but it still is an Android question. Can somebody answer the second part of the Question "If that is impossible, how can he use mdb files"(in Android) – Johny D Jan 22 '11 at 16:21

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

There are at least several RDP apps available for android. You could RDP into a windows machine which has MS Access installed on it.

I have been using Cellica Database on Galaxy Tab for more than a month now. It works great! Any changes to the database from Galaxy or Desktop get transferred when the connection is available. But when the connection in not available it still has data on my Galaxy Tab that I can use.

Try HanDBase (available in Market for $10), I can't find what data format they supports but the documentation seems to imply they also have "optional desktop components to convert data from another format into HanDBase", though they don't detail what other formats they supports with the desktop component.

There is also Cellica (10 days Trial available in Market, Full version is $39.99), they do claim support for Microsoft Access database. Cellica for Android is a thin client, your phone need to be able to connect to the Desktop (e.g. through Wifi, 3G, etc), and the database actually resides on the Desktop. I don't think Cellica would work if you don't have a reliable data connection.
