I flashed a new ROM and Kernel on my Galaxy Player 5.0 USA version (YP-G70).

I since then tried several kernels and the capacitive buttons (Menu/Home/Back - no physical buttons - just part of the bottom of the touch screen).

The light does turn on along with screen, but not when touching the buttons themselves, in other words, it's like the buttons are dead.

The kernel I installed is certainly the US version.

I tried many types of Kernels and the problem still resists. Could it be the ROM?

Any advice???

There's not much we can suggest unless you say exactly what ROM image and kernel you've flashed. – Dan Hulme Oct 31 '13 at 9:47
