I've downloaded android 4.4 x86 from android-x86 and as I have an UEFI system (and GPT formatted disk) I couldn't install it directly on it, so I followed this tutorial and it was made for 4.3, and the author reported that it is compatible with 4.4, but when I tried it it gives me a kernel panic with efivar error. To fix that, the main developer Chih-Wei Huang told us to remove the responsible file of the error in the source code then recompile android again.

As I don't have a fast internet to download the whole ~10GB of source code, I just wonder if I can remove this EFIVAR problem without downloading the whole code.

Thanks
