i have just bought a android phone, and i want to know about the different apps that i need to install on my phone which are also good.

for example, i wanted a good file explorer for my android 2.2 phone, and i could not find a standard site to get information regarding this.

so could you please recommend a good website for me, wherein i can find these things.

There is no "standard", recommendations are by defintion subjective. –  Matthew Read Apr 5 '11 at 14:00

Virtually all of the markets, including the official one, offer users the ability to leave ratings on apps. Going with the 4- and 5-star rated apps shouldn't take you too far afield. –  Al E. Aug 5 '11 at 13:34

To be honest, I would just search the Android Market and then try things out. "The best" Android apps are going to be generally subjective, and there's typically several apps that perform any given task.

You could also look at some of these older (mostly CW) questions:

I like Lifehacker's reviews, though it's a little annoying that you can't link to search results there.

I find the market reviews helpful for deciding whether or not things actually work, but Lifehacker makes great recommendations.
