It's getting a little crowded with every app having a share option these days. I'd love to narrow it down to the few I like but haven't been able to figure out how.

One imagines editing the order would be almost as helpful. (Something that modified the order on basis of most recently used would be handy) – syntheticbrain Apr 10 '11 at 10:57

Cool. I starred your request. The idea to allow the list to be sorted is also good. – GollyJer Jan 26 '12 at 16:16

Someone finally made an app that does exactly what I was looking for!

Check it out.
Andmade Share on the Google Play Store

It lets you hide and reorder the share menu in addition to sharing to multiple apps at once.
Awesomeness. :-)

AndMade Share: Select apps AndMade Share: Order apps

This isn't possible from an OS level. That share menu is populated by Android based on what apps you've installed declare they can open. You can look at the technical details here, but the end result is that without extra coding from each individual app to filter the results, you are always going to get the full list in whatever order Android returns them in.
