Copy and paste
In human-computer interaction, cut and paste and copy and paste are related commands that offer a user-interface interaction technique for transferring text, data, files or objects from a source to a destination.
The term "copy-and-paste" refers to the popular, simple method of reproducing text or other data from a source to a destination. It differs from cut and paste in that the original source text or data does not get deleted or removed. The popularity of this method stems from its simplicity and the ease with which users can move data between various applications visually - without resorting to permanent storage.
- Step 01:
Touch and hold over the word where you want to start copying text from;
- Step 02:
An highlighted area will appear with limitation markers telling you what is set to copied, you can drag either end of this to adjust the portion of text to be copied.
- Step 03:
Ready to copy? Touch and hold over the highlighted text and a options box will appear. When you see this box touch the copy option and your text will be copied to the clipboard.
- Step 04:
Touch and hold inside the destination area where you want to paste the copied text, a box will appear, touch the "paste" option and your done.
Available options and the options box format varies with Android version and/or device.
