You can lock a particular message in your conversation so you don't accidentally delete that. The check box is for those messages. See following screen-shots - First Long tap on the message you want to lock, and select Lock. The message should be now locked and a lock icon should appear at the bottom. Now when you delete the conversation the message was ...

That is not currently possible on the stock camera application, however there is an open ticket with the Android project team to make such an option exposed. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=10561 Meanwhile you can try some custom camera applications like "Camera Folders" which allows custom file name conventions in addition to folder ...

Open your settings menu and go all the way to the bottom, open Developer Options. In the Input section, find the options called Pointer Location, and check it. This is a feature for developers that shows the raw data from the digitizer. Move your fingers around on the screen, and watch what you see, if your finger seems to disappear from the screen, ...

ROM Updates from vendors/manufacturers/carriers usually evaluate checksums of at least the system partition -- which fails in case of applied modifications, such as required by rooting (rooting needs to place at least the superuser apk on the system partition, and other root-apps may then add to it). I'm not sure how this is handĺed by HTC for devices ...

On the bottom, near the primary mic, is a slot to "pry off" the battery cover. Be careful, of course!

I have noticed a lot of vehicles that do not recognize any android devices but they do recognize iphones/ipods. This is something the manufacture has to add support for. These manufacturers usually use a proprietary system in the vehicle and they don't seem to think anyone uses anything besides an iphone or ipod. You may be able to use bluetooth to ...

On most android phones SD card storage cannot be used by both the phone itself and another device simultaneously. So for the Evo 3d to be available to your Equinox' player you might have to do something like tap on Turn on USB-Storage (not sure if this is your case) or choose Disk Drive when prompted about Connection Type on it. During this time the apps ...

I do not think you can view a log of some kind in the ui, however you can always manually sync and the icons show if it was successful. Settings > Accounts & sync > Manage accounts > your account > OPTION BUTTON > Sync Now this is in android gingerbread version You will see the spinning icons appear then disappear when synced, then ...

I would use Vignette in the setting it should let you change the naming convention. The pictures end up in your gallery so no need to go searching for them. https://market.android.com/details?id=uk.co.neilandtheresa.NewVignette&hl=en

The HTC Evo does not contain any LTE hardware, so it wont work

You should use a third party SMS client that generates a log message for every message it sends. These log messages can be read out with alogcat or catlog (or with Androids SDK adb logcat). This way you could prove that the message is only send once from your phone. If the receiver then gets the message multiple times this would proof that the failure is on ...

It is a headset (as opposed to merely headphone) port, tested using TRRS (tip ring ring sleeve) Klipsch Image S4i headset. Also, because of the peculiarities of the way HTC soldered the fm radio on the 3D, it apparently (I didn't test this, don't have any TRS headsets/don't care about FM) only works correctly with a TRRS cable. You'll note on android, when ...

You can either have new camera app which gives you in required naming convention or use filenamer and rename pictures. Option 1: Camera 360 has this naming convention 2011-12-12-0215-4-20.jpg - https://market.android.com/details?id=vStudio.Android.Camera360 Option 2: Try this re.*(Renamer) which accepts regular expression for rename - ...

The device does not run on the charger. It will always run on the battery, unless the battery is not present. The discharge you see can be from just applications on the device running in the background. The charger stops charging the battery when it reaches full status. Note that this may not be 100%, even on a brand new battery. My battery doesn't charge ...

You're absolutely correct with your assumption a factory-reset will delete all your apps and data (as you also can find in the factory-reset tag-wiki). If you want to backup your contacts and SMS, I'm afraid there's no native way. While the contacts you could sync with Google, the same cannot be said for SMS. But if you take a look at google play, searching ...

After months of not being able to debug through ADB, I've figured it out. According to this answer on Stack Overflow, the program EasyTetherUSBEthernet can cause problems with ADB. Running this in terminal, with a reboot fixed all my problems. sudo kextunload -v /System/Library/Extensions/EasyTetherUSBEthernet.kextv If you need to use ...

I have minimized the impact of this problem by disabling the [Stay Awake] setting (Settings | Applications | Development). This setting had been enabled and once I had turned it back off the screen display became responsive sooner after unplugging. Apparently this setting on the HTC-Evo 3D is problematic.

You can lock messages that you want to retain in your phone. IIRC long pressing the message will give you the option to lock the message.

This method can be used to increase the maximum speaker output on your HTC EVO 3D, but bare in mind, if you set the output level to high, it might be possible to blow out your phone's speakers. Preparation Note that this method uses software only available for Windows. Install HTC Sync on your computer. Get your 6-digit MSL code, using one of this two ...

I have a similar question regarding the Replay XD stunt cam, sadly the only response from the manufacturer was: Update for Case #1652 - "android phone as remote viewfinder" Hello, Yes as long as it accepts and HDMI 'IN" signal. Not all of them do. Thanks, Replay XD Message History -----Original Message----- From: Replay XD Sent: Wednesday, April 18, ...

Google Voice is responsible for these; they are sent by default. See in the settings: You can uncheck this box and Google Voice will refrain from sending you SMS transcripts of your voicemails from then on. Also note, unchecking the box above titled Email the message to: only prevents email transcripts, not SMS ones.

Even on Sprint, LTE will be supported through new devices, just like on all the other carriers. WiMAX is a different technology. Because they are both called 4G is irrelevant. HSPA+ is called 4G, too, and is also not the same as LTE (or WiMax),

I have had this problem with T-Mobile, on multiple phones. They usually have me do a full power off and wait for my phone to fully log off the network (not the same with Sprint, but you get the idea). I would report the issue to Technical Support. It has usually means a failure on the server side, in my experience.

I don't know why, but I would first try using a different SMS app like Handcent. If that doesn't work I'd try a factory reset.
