An alternative input method, Swype allows the user to enter text by tracing from letter to letter to form words, instead of tapping on each letter individually.

Although installed by default on some handsets (for example, the Samsung Galaxy S and the Motorola Droid X), Swype is currently in beta and not available in the Android Market. The beta registration page can be found here.

The official website for Swype, Inc., the makers of Swype can be found here.
