comment Full Backup of non-rooted devices
@RyanConrad Can you please clarify: Do I need to get and install the 500MB ADT Tools SDK or will the 70MB SDK Tools be enough? The SDK Tools seems to set ADB.exe up already, but your Droid Explorer seems to require the massive ADT Tools SDK. Cheers!

Hi. My question is about GSM calls, not VOIP or SIP calls or tethering.

@MarkHewitt that would require two sim cards with two data plans and two shirt pockets. I'm glad this works for you, as well as others who carry tablets and phones all the time. I want to carry just one device.

It's eye-awakening that Android prides itself on running on hundreds of devices, yet it has no "hardware abstraction layer". Oh irony. Dear Android, it's 2012, not 1985....

IMHO, I do not see why the location service cannot save power and just activate the WiFi antenna when it needs it, exactly as it does with the GPS antenna. Sorry ce4, this has nothing to do with the opt-in on this screen. I mean, "Sure Google, use WiFi networks to determine my location, but kindly turn off the WiFi antenna when you're done."
