How does C2DM work? I don't like your tone and I think you're wrong. I think you're mixing protocol implementation and technical implementation. Just because you're having a logical connection it doesn't mean you're having a real connection all the time. I found the exact question on so (stackoverflow.com/questions/7293296/…) (Sorry Matthew, you were right in the first place ...) And they are talking about a google polling service, I'd love to find information about that on how that's implemented. |

How does C2DM work? I want to know how this "email push type technology" works. How often do they poll? In the end, they have to - or am I wrong here? |

How does C2DM work? I don't see why Google has to implement it the same way Apple did. I just want to know how this "email push type technology" works. I would bet money that Apple, Google and Blackberry have different solutions. |

How does C2DM work? How do the libraries "listen for them"? Is there a polling service running? Does the provider play a role? |

How does C2DM work? That's not a development question, the question is how Google does implement it. It's a background question - you're able to implement C2DM just fine without knowing how Google did it. |

Tools for using connected phone via PC/Headset Looks like you're right but in one point: Depending on the BT driver it's possible to use the phone for free. See also: superuser.com/questions/58632/… |
