comment How to add a new word to keyboard by backspacing and clicking on its suggestion?
As @Andy356 suggests, this change may have happened with the recent update to the Google Keyboard (Version 4.1.22123.2053724 - 6 Jul 2015)? I have not installed this update yet (still on Version 4.0.21203.1613964) and I still have the functionality you mention.

comment Constant notififications for the same calendar event driving me crazy!
Are you dismissing the notification, or just snoozing it (or doing nothing)? Which calendar app(s) are you using? Do you have more than one?

comment How do I access app menu? running kitkat.
"the menu key was changed to the running app key" - that sounds crazy? How do you access Recent Apps? Are you saying the Note2 has blocked the "menu button" (for older apps that require it) from appearing in the button bar at the bottom?!

comment Disable DropBox's PDF reader
Yes, this is a pain. Despite selecting "More" > "Open With" and picking Adobe Reader "Always" (which is then set as a default app within Dropbox itself - managed through Dropbox settings) it still opens Dropbox's internal PDF viewer when simply tapping the PDF file inside Dropbox. You must still select "More" > "Open With" each time, only now you don't need to pick "Adobe Reader" from the list (if you have more than 1 PDF viewer app installed).

comment Disable DropBox's PDF reader
You don't need to explicitly "Export" the PDF, you can "Open With" instead. From the drop down menu next to the file, select "More", then "Open With" and pick "Adobe Reader".

The "3 dot menu" in the PDF viewer (which I assume you are referring to by "previewer") does not contain the option "open with...", just "Export" and "Delete".

comment Do Android phones require a data connection to work?
Only thing I would be careful of is if your current "plan" will use data on a PAYG basis when outside of your plan? If it does and this is expensive then you can turn "mobile-data" off in settings (so that it only connects on WiFi).

Just to clarify, using data on WiFi is perfectly OK and doesn't require a mobile-data plan.

comment Google Play Music: Download Entire Library through USB (instead of internet)
Yes (as @RossC mentions above) the next day (having switched my phone off overnight - Media scan on boot I suspect) my mp3 (copied to the Music folder) has indeed been picked up by Play Music. :) (I used to have the "Rescan Media" app installed, but that seems to have stopped working with KitKat!)

comment Google Play Music: Download Entire Library through USB (instead of internet)
I just tried copying an mp3 file to my phones "Music" folder, but after 2+ hours Google Play Music has not picked it up.

comment Google Play Music: Download Entire Library through USB (instead of internet)
Do you mean, copy your music library from local storage via USB directly to your phone? Google's Play Music appears to store the songs in it's own database format once downloaded to your device so I imagine there would need to be a process of "importing" if this is going to be possible.
