comment How to stop Google Keep from seeing numeric data as phone numbers?
"only the Keep app exhibits this behavior" - I see the same behaviour in Google Hangouts and the stock text messaging app (maybe it's a Google App thing?), except in these other apps the converted text appears bright blue (as it used to in Keep). It's less noticeable in these other apps (at least for me) because I don't type so many numbers when messaging.

comment Is it possible to only use your Google account for Google Play only?
"Which is quite embarrassing." - are you suggesting you are using a personal Google account "on a phone provided by [your] company"?

Thanks for the info, although having to type alternative chars is a bit of an extreme workaround IMO. Particularly since I also use Keep on iOS and the web where this is not a problem. (iOS only marks up obvious looking phone numbers - so this would seem to be something that is more OS related, rather than Keep itself?) However, the "problem" is not as bad as it used to be. "Phone numbers" are now black underlined, rather than bright blue. And clicking the "phone number" doesn't immediately trigger the dialer; you get a menu to "Call" or "Edit". Still a pain though. (Android 5.1.1)

comment Screen resolution vs. image resolution
@DanHulme Although when upscaling on a very high (577) ppi screen any blurring is going to be negligible and probably not discernable to the average human eye.

@MichelfrancisBustillos Well, I had initially added it to the question, but it does "part answer" the question and Izzy confirmed this is comments above... "please move your "update" to an answer. Even though it does not explain the "why" part, it explains how to get rid of that reminder, and thus provides a solution (even though it might be a temporary one)".

@Izzy Well, I assume I must have dismissed it at the time (Apr 05 2015). It certainly hasn't appeared on the calendar at all until suddenly showing up on Jan 19th! The period between Apr 05 and Jan 19 (289 days) isn't a nice round number of months/weeks and it's a different day of the week (Sun / Tues) so I couldn't say what the recurring frequency was?! But it wasn't even appearing on the "Upcoming" reminders within the Google app. Weird.

@Izzy Yes, I had wondered that! lol. Yes, the colour suggested that it belonged to the "Reminders" calendar under my main Google account. I have discovered that this reminder originated from "Google Now", although as to why it suddenly recurred and appeared only in the Google Calendar Android app is a bit of a mystery. (I've updated my question, although maybe I should add that as an answer...)
