comment How to run an SFTP server on my CM9 RC2 Galaxy Nexus
SSHDroid does not supports SFTP via USB. However, I found an app that does -- DigiSSHD.

It has nothing to do with security. My objective is to manage and transfer files via Dolphin. I am simply looking for convenience. MTP (especially gMTP) sucks. the Android adb bridge is OK, but not as good as SFTP with Dolphin.

comment Enabling AdHoc Networking on ICS to Connect to AdHoc Devices
My laptop is running Ubuntu, so neither Connectify or mHotpost will work for me. I don't want to tether the mobile data connection. I want to use my laptop as a wireless NAS (to stream or download files from my laptop to my phone). I don't think you have given me any solution (unless I misunderstand).

there isn't a cifs module in that location. In fact, /system/lib/modules/ directory doesn't exist. Apparently CM9 handles it differently. I can't find any documentation. But Cifs Manager works. Others have said cifs is "built in" to CM9. Not sure what they mean exactly, but I don't see any .ko modules anywhere.

comment Better way to connect Galaxy Nexus (ICS) to Linux
gMTP is unsatisfactory for me. It is VERY slow and it gives errors with music files (it tries to create albums for every file transferred). gMTP also crashes frequently in Ubuntu. I like the ADB method better. I also use SSHFS over WiFi and a few other methods.

I installed CM 9-20120418 on my GNex. I want to try Mount Manager with it. Do you have any instructions? BTW, Cifs Manager works once again, but as with previous ROMs Mount Manager isn't working. Looking forward to some help. Thanks.

I'm going to install CM9 on my Galaxy Nexus. I'm running Codename Android ROM now.

Mount Manager is not compatible with Ice Cream Sandwich.

That approach would be fine, but it won't work with my ROM. What ROM and what phone are you using and did you add any kernel modules? If you give a complete working answer, I'll accept this kind of solution. I don't mind using busybox mount. Thanks.
