comment How can I change the behavior of the volume buttons vs. the orientation of the screen
Not the solution for me - I don't like adding extra on-screen controls.

comment What percentage of users use each of the Android versions?
Just a tiny side note for those who don't follow the link: That data is based on devices hitting Google Play (I presume this includes devices checking for updates), so it should be representative of devices in general use.

comment Chrome crashes on Acer Iconia A200
Have you tried contacting Acer? I'd see if you can find a reproducable way to make it happen with the built-in apps, then report it to Acer as a bug. Might not get anywhere, but you won't know till you try.

comment Can I use (via wifi only) my original VZW Droid without a voice or data plan?
Does your droid use a sim card? If nothing else works, try pulling the sim and see if that has any effect.

comment When Abroad, How To Stop Annoying “Cellular Network Not Found” Popup Prompt?
Turn on airplane mode then turn on wifi is standard on the devices I've seen.

comment How can I disable screen lock feature temporarily?
I'm sorry, why are you lending a tablet to someone who you believe is going to mess with it? He may be a friend, but if you feel it's likely that he's going to intentionally do things to your tablet, then don't lend it to him.

comment Is it safe to swap SIM cards when the phone is turned on?
@EricCloninger - great point. Logically it must be safe to remove/install the SIM from a phone with a fixed battery (presumably with phone turned off), because we do it all the time. I've edited my answer.

comment How can I avoid the battery charging when connected via USB?
You can try this, but if I'm not mistaken the power uptake is involved in the signalling that a device is present. Therefore, if you cut the power lines, the device may not be recognized!
