I make Android, iOS and Mac apps. I'm the lead organizer for iOSDevCamp DC. I'm a contributor to TouchJSON.

In the past, I've created web services in Sinatra and Rails, enterprise-level Eclipse plug-ins using Java and SWT (previously using Swing and a custom application framework), and clients and servers in Smalltalk.

Glycan: That's a different question altogether - please ask it is a separate question. Here's how to root the Galaxy Player: android.stackexchange.com/questions/31895/… Not sure about Jelly Bean. I'd get the OS level you want pre-installed when you buy the device.

It depends on your budget. If you look for sales on Amazon, Radio Shack, etc - you'll probably find the best deals on the prepaid phones since the carriers are competing with each other to get customers. LG Optimus Elite is a good handset right now from Virgin Mobile for $130 USD if you're ok with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). If you want 4.0 or 4.1, you can consider the unlocked Galaxy Nexus direct from Google for $349 USD or if you want a bigger device, get the Nexus 7 direct from Google for $199 USD. The Nexus 7 would be my #1 choice right now, although it would be more like the iPad Mini.

Took a look at both and (in teeny letters) confirmed that both chargers output 5V / 2A. What threw me off is the US adaptor part of the charger which stated 2.5A. Also I tried charging the 10.1 on the 7.0 charger and it worked fine. So yes, they are even interchangeable.

Confirmed that this also works for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
