comment How to get mDNS working for Chrome on Android?
Just to clarify; the original question was not actually about local DNS server usage, but using mDNS (aka Bonjour) along with the special ".local" domain name which on some systems is set up to issue mDNS queries rather than DNS ones.

comment Phone connected to wireless but does not respond to pings
Yes. Fortunately, I believe I may have found the cause to the problem -- there were two DHCP servers on the network which were handing out potentially-conflicting IP addresses. I think this may have been causing my router to get confused over which devices were connected wirelessly or over the wired connection, and it must have been attempting to switch the packets intelligently. At least, on removing the extra DHCP server the problem went away; the rest is just my only working theory as to how this could happen...

comment Samsung Galaxy 5 Wi-fi stops working: “ar6000 driver fails to load”
All three of these codes bring up the correct interface on my GT-5570, which manages to successfully load the drive; unfortunately it then fails to find any networks when it scans.
